We've been doing some considerable research on the issue of lake-bed clean-up and a worthwhile alternative to eventual dredging seems to be aeration. www.clean-flo.com is a West Chester company, and from all I can tell, this may not only be a good plan B (since dredging may well prove to be cost prohibitive), but in fact, a better solution. Oakwood lakes dodged the last bullet (the floods of '04) by being proactive and repairing our dams before they required millions of dollars of emergency repair. Let's get a jump on this and start figuring out a solution before we have a mire instead of our beautiful lake.
